Playlist: "Eclecticism" 8/31/2014

So summer is officially over in my eyes. Once you start saying September dates, you start to enter this fall state of mind. I hope you enjoyed tonight's show. I'm coming off last night's Louisahhh! high. She played in Brooklyn at Glasslands Gallery, and of course she killed it! Tonight's show was a bit deeper and completely dance-worthy. Maybe I'll upload it so everyone can enjoy it. Come back next week! :)

The Kickoff: Debonair - "Voyager Seven"

Here's a sleek, funky mix from British producer Debonair for you to start your week off right. These vibes are great--lots of deep house, hints of French house, and some jazzier tracks. Everything just seems to glisten and sparkle all the way to your ears. Get ready to shake those hips! Thank goodness there's no secrets here, check out the tracklist after the mix.

Hey everyone! Sorry this was posted much later than usual, but nonetheless, here is the playlist from tonight's show. It was sort of all over the place tonight. I'm a little late, but I was really excited about this Black Butter Records compilation that came out last month, Black Butter Spread Love, Vol. 4. Ever since Wayward started releasing stuff on Black Butter, I've been exploring a lot of their tracks. Good stuff! Pay with a tweet and get "Around You" for free.

And in case you didn't see it on Facebook, I posted last week's 3-hour show online.

The Kickoff: Jonas Rathsman - Warehouse Project 2014 Mix Series 001

French Express has been carving out a name for themselves as one of the leaders in deep house over the past few years. Hopefully by this point, you've come to appreciate my obsession with not only Isaac Tichauer, but all of the French Express knights.

Jonas Rathsman fires up a storm with his signature deep burning dance floor vibes in this mix for the first in this year's Warehouse Project series. It starts off kind of slow, but the pace quickens as the mix gets into some tech and jazzier house. The whole thing is rather moody and sassy--just how I like my Rathsman. Enjoy!

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 8/17/2014

Thanks for tuning in to the show tonight. I hope that you caught the whole thing! To make up for being absent the past couple of weeks and because the guys before me needed a sub, this week's show was three hours of sunny nu-disco and some deep house cuts. I think I'm going to post this one online somewhere for everyone to enjoy, so look for that later in the week. Come back for more groovy goodness next Sunday!

The Kickoff: Mighty Mouse - Discobelle Mix 045

My deepest apologies for being absent the past couple of weeks. Last night Wild Jokers took over and I'm sure they gave you some energy packed tunes for the night. I'll be making it up to you next week for an extra long show, so be sure to tune in at 7pm!

This week I'm kicking off with a mix that Mighty Mouse put together for Discobelle. It starts off a little slow, but he wastes no time getting into some deep, tech, and moody house and nu disco. Basically, get ready to party. There's some really great tracks in here. Thank goodness there's a tracklist.

The Kickoff: PHUNKTASTIKE - SPA IN DISCO "Super Disco Heroes"

I had a hard time finding something that really felt right today. As much as I default to all the beachy nu-disco, I've been craving more of a darker tinge. There is still that urge to disco, but things need to get a little moody. One track that's been on repeat lately is this Blondie remix that Spirit Soul Music label head Phunktastike gave away a couple of weeks ago. I've been trying to throw it in the show, but it's so different from everything else I've been listening to lately.

This mix that Phunktastike did for Spa In Disco sort of captures that moody essence I've been craving. It works well for the late night folks. The pace sort of lurks around, but it's still something that allows for dancing. Sadly there isn't a playlist for this. Enjoy Phunktastike's Blondie remix after the jump instead.
