The Kickoff: JBAG - Asia Tour Mixtape

Continental Records label heads Jerry Bouthier and Andrea Gorgerino, JBAG, have a knack for playful, dreamy, and bouncy productions. I've been sort of stuck in that groove since the release of Boys Get Hurt's latest Your Love EP. The B-side track "Sea Through" appears in this JBAG mix. Along with a bunch of other upbeat and poppy tropical tracks, the boys have included their new single "Through Blue." Look for that to release this week. It features another favorite of the show, Kamp!

The Kickoff: Du Tonc - Mixtape 1

 

 

Together as Du Tonc, Mighty Mouse and Matt Van Schie (of Van She) create a huge groovy wave of energy to get you dancing. This mix is packed with funky nu-disco tracks from JBAG, Yuksek, Shit Robot, and Juan Maclean. They've done a great job for their first mixtape! Hopefully a tracklist follows to unveil some of the mystery. Expect a new track from Du Tonc called "Island," available October 8.

The Kickoff: Jerry Bouthier - 100% JBAG mix

What could be better than starting off the week with an entire mix of JBAG tracks? The Kitsuné master in the hat put together this wonderful mix featuring JBAG remixes sandwiched between two original tracks. I've been on a Kitsuné kick for the past couple of weeks, so hopefully you don't mind. Everything associated with the label just promotes fun and good vibes. It's great! Enjoy!

Mix Monday: Jerry Bouthier - Paris Fashion Week SS'12 Mixtape

Jerry Bouthier put together this wonderful mixtape for Kitsuné's blog Le Journal. It's got some great tracks and remixes, some of which I've played on the show. Bouthier pulled together his favorite tracks of the moment. His aim was to create a warm and loving dance mix that makes you want to be with loved ones. Maybe dance a little with your loved ones. Coincidentally, some of these tracks are some of my recent favorites, but there were some great surprises. This one was so good, I had to burn a copy for some lovin' in the car.
