The Kickoff: Maximum Heat 002 - NSFW August Mix

Summer's wrapping up, and I'm deeply disappointed in the amount of time (or rather, the complete lack of time) I've spent at the beach. All these great summer tracks floating around out there, and I haven't put them to use. It's sad. This week's mix really has me craving warm sand and crashing waves. 

Los Angeles-based blog, La Nuit, hosts good vibes and some intensely hot disco house courtesy of Amsterdam's NSFW. The mix features tracks from some of my summer favorites including Oliver, Majestique, Peter & The Magician, Le Crayon, and well, have a listen.

The Kickoff: Yaaman - Mixmagic Show Episode 122 [Air date July 26th, 2013]

Let's start the week off with something energetic to get you dancing. The weather here continues to remind me of that ambiguous fall/spring feeling. It's been in the mid 70's, low humidity, the ideal breeze, and as I write this, not a cloud in the sky. Only a few whisps. Keep reading for visual proof.

Ukrainian dj/producer Yaaman hosts his biweekly Mixmagic show for Jolt Radio. I'm probably pronouncing it wrong in my head, but I can't help but get good vibes off the name alone. The mix starts off with a killer, soon-to-be released remix from Sohight & Cheevy. Then, it never really stops from there. It's just track after track of huge energy and quality disco house.

Holy smokes! This is the last show for November! This month was all sorts of messed up because of the hurricane and loss of power. Everything just seemed to fly by, and now it's basically over. Well, December is one of the best months in my opinion. Thanksgiving is really just pregaming for the holidays that follow. Hopefully you enjoyed the show, and come back next week. It started off with some great mixes, Poolside's album took up a huge chunk of listening time, and then ended it all with Tycho at Webster Hall last night. L'Étranger - Falling For You

With all the other goodies, I almost forgot this L'Étranger track came out today. Then he posted a little bit on facebook. Downloaded!  Originally, I was going to make a general post with a bunch of random songs that I downloaded today, but those are just going to be a little bonus at the end. The artwork for this is also great. It's better than the silly little disco heart I was going to use.)

Mix Monday: Le Crayon - Beware Mag Mixtape

Today, I am all about Le Crayon. He made this wonderful Metronomy remix and posted it for download today on SoundCloud. Because, I'm a music addict, one free download isn't enough. Thank god Le Crayon's got a bunch of tracks available to download. He's also got some mixes, which brings me to Mix Monday.

This mix is an overload of songs packed into about 20 minutes of funky electro and disco gold.  When I say overload, I'm not kidding -- 39 tracks total. It's such a rush, and my music a.d.d. satisfied. Enjoy, and happy Monday!
