The Kickoff: Jonas Rathsman - Warehouse Project 2014 Mix Series 001

French Express has been carving out a name for themselves as one of the leaders in deep house over the past few years. Hopefully by this point, you've come to appreciate my obsession with not only Isaac Tichauer, but all of the French Express knights.

Jonas Rathsman fires up a storm with his signature deep burning dance floor vibes in this mix for the first in this year's Warehouse Project series. It starts off kind of slow, but the pace quickens as the mix gets into some tech and jazzier house. The whole thing is rather moody and sassy--just how I like my Rathsman. Enjoy!

The Kickoff: Boiler Room LA French Express Takeover

Coming off an awesome past week, I'm happy to start this off with more French Express. Their North American Tour just ended, and I'm sure all the nights were as delicious as the night at Output in Brooklyn. In case you missed the festivities, the French Express Boiler Room takeover is finally available for everyone's eyes and ears. I almost forgot to check back for it. So not only do you get one mix this week, but you get four! There's one each from Perseus, Moon Boots, Isaac Tichauer, and Jonas Rathsman. All the videos can be watched on the Boiler Room website, but I've posted the audio here. Really that's all you need. The video honestly bothers me. Most of the people in the Boiler Room must be deaf, because they're barely breaking into a shuffle. It's pathetic. I hope the disco gods come after you.

Ukrainian dj/producer Yaaman hosts his biweekly Mixmagic show for Jolt Radio. I'm probably pronouncing it wrong in my head, but I can't help but get good vibes off the name alone. The mix starts off with a killer, soon-to-be released remix from Sohight & Cheevy. Then, it never really stops from there. It's just track after track of huge energy and quality disco house.

All month long, BBC Radio 1's Essential Mixes will feature their "Future Stars of 2013." Pete Tong brought in French Express's Perseus and Jonas Rathsman to kickoff the four part series with two hours of soulful and sinful house tracks reflecting the mission of the New York label -- protecting the feel good. These two put together a beautiful mix! The entire show (and tracklist) is available from BBC Radio 1's website. Sadly, there isn't a download of this one, so make sure to enjoy it before it's presumably taken down at the end of this month. (Update: It's posted on the French Express SoundCloud. Thanks guys!)
