This wouldn't be the first time I've complained about how Paris isn't easily (or rather cheaply) accessible from New Jersey. Even still, I subscribe to emails for venues overseas, and continue to be disappointed when I'm not able to go.

Mix Monday: Detroit Swindle - Vibes & Pepper #40 Podcast

Detroit Swindle played an incredible set at Glasslands on Saturday! I'm not one to speak on behalf of others, but it's safe to say everyone in attendance had a stellar time. When the security guards have to pause from work to get down, you know it's good. Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets of Amsterdam just have such a fresh sound! Their obvious love for Motown, and the sounds of Detroit, play out blissfully from track to track. The jazzy bits are the best!

Of course, the mix I'm sharing isn't that set. But it's damn good! Everything they do is so damn good! Alright, I'll stop being a fan girl.
