The Kickoff: Zimmer - Stay | December Tape

Sorry I missed you guys this past Sunday night. I was really hoping to get in a killer show for the last show of the year. Perhaps I'll put together a little mix or compilation to officially end 2014. Well, for the last kickoff mix of the year, how could I not end with a Zimmer mix. I've probably shared more of his mixes this year than any other producer.

Following his usual horizontal disco vibes, France's Zimmer goes for silky smooth, mildly tropical tunes to take us out of 2014. There's just enough of a chill for us to know it's December, but the hints of warm weather give us something to look forward to as we look toward spring. So sit back and relax before one of the biggest party nights of the year and I hope you all have a happy new year!

The Kickoff: Isaac Tichauer - December 2014 Mix

You guys all know how I feel about my Isaac Tichauer, so no surprise I'm sharing his new December mix. Amid all the last-minute Christmas shopping stress, this is a nice little treat to soothe your soul. It's mostly chill and sparkly, but at times Tichauer brings a bit of heat into the nearly 90-minute mix. If you're nearby, catch Mr. Tichauer at one of his upcoming shows--it's guaranteed to be a good time.

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 12/21/2014

Hi music friends! Once again, thanks for tuning in. I hope this broke up the incessant Christmas music you've been hearing on the radio. Not that I'm opposed to all the holiday cheer, but I'm always down for a little dancing. This week I got started a bit early to fill in for Christini Bikini, so hopefully you got to tune in at 7pm to catch that. I should be back for one last show before the year's done. Happy holidays!

The Kickoff: Cropper - FOUND017

This week, I'm sharing this amazing mix that I stumbled upon from UK producer Cropper. I was obsessed with his single and accompanying video for "Forever" last year, but somehow he sort of slipped off my radar this year. Well better late than never. His mix for Found LDN packs in some killer vibes of the house and garage variety, and it was put together so well. What really hooked me in though was the little appearance from Kevin Over around the 8-minute mark. I've been mildly obsessed with him lately. Alright, enjoy this mix--I know you will.

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 12/14/2014

Hello my pretties! Thanks for tuning in to my show this week. I finally bought Kraak & Smaak's Chrome Waves remix album and everything about it is awesome. I had to stop myself from playing too many tracks tonight, so expect to hear lots off that the next coming weeks. Check it out below and come back next week for more great music.

The Kickoff: Bag Raiders - Musica Copa Mixa

Naturally, all the mixes I post for you guys are ones that I thoroughly enjoy. Although sometimes a mix will just stand out above all the others. This latest mix for THUMP from Australian duo Bag Raiders is top notch. It's easily one of my favorite mixes of this year. The vibes are just on point.

Starting off with How To Dress Well's "& It Was You," the mix just really takes off from there and doesn't stop until we hit some Caribou. I think one of the main reasons I'm particularly in tune with this mix is because it's got a lot of my personal favorites in it. Well done Bag Raiders!

Welcome to December! I think I said it last week, but I can't believe the year is almost over. 2014 flew by! As we're nearing the end of the year, I've been reflecting back on some of my favorite tracks of 2014. Expect to hear a lot of oldies but goodies this month. Come back next week! I'll be on the air from 8-10pm, and follow Eclecticism on Facebook for more deliciousness throughout the week.

The Kickoff: Detroit Swindle | November Mix

It's amazing how quickly this year went by. I feel like it was just Christmas not too long ago, but essentially it's been a year. As 2014 winds down, everyone's reflecting and compiling their "Best Of" lists. I'm still putting the final touches on my top albums of 2014, but my number one is certain. I've been pretty sure on this for a while, and the top spot is definitely going to Detroit Swindle and their album Boxed Out. These guys put on one of the best shows I've ever seen, and the vibes are incredible. So let's say goodbye to November and hello to December with some quality.
