The Kickoff: MUNK presents Gomma / Toy Tonics 2013 Megamix

Hopefully you feel like getting your groove on! Gomma Records boss, Munk, has been all over my speakers the past couple of days. The man can do no wrong. Everything Munk or Gomma related will force you into a disco shuffle. On the latest Gomma release, Munk teamed up with Rebolledo of the Pachanga Boys for a killer EP. It's 60's surf rock and rockabilly inspired track with each producer creating a version. I'll link you to my EARMILK post after the jump. But first, here's a two hour mix of delicious tunes to swoon over and dance to.

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 1/26/2014

As always, thanks for joining me tonight. I unintentionally played a slew of French Express tracks--not that that's a bad thing. They're always posting great free downloads, so make sure to follow them on SoundCloud.

The Kickoff: Sohight & Cheevy Winter Minimix

Generally, I hate minimixes. Hearing 30 second bits of killer tracks really breaks my heart. So why am I sharing a minimix? Well I happen to like this one, and Sohight & Cheevy always bring the feel good. This mix features a lot of great new tracks and remixes from favorites like Cherokee, Wayward, Holy Ghost!, Oliver Nelson, and I could really just list the whole tracklist.

Sohight & Cheevy kick the mix off with a new original track called "Night Ride." They say it's to be released on their next EP.

The Kickoff: Roy Davis Jr. - "RDJ Protect The Vision DJ Mix"

So I owe you guys a mix for the start of the week. Nothing on my SoundCloud feed was really tickling my fancy, so I'm sharing something old. Sometimes older is better.

Remember that delicious remix of Disclosure's "F For You" that legendary house producer Roy Davis Jr. gave away for free download a few weeks back? I'll post it again in case you missed it. Well in listening on SoundCloud, there was this killer mix that kept following the track. I found myself wanting to hear it again this morning. Lots of deep, soulful vibes coming your way. Enjoy!

And for those of you who missed this little gem, here is that Roy Davis Jr. remix.

The Kickoff: Triple J Radio - Jamie Jones & Lee Foss (Hot Natured) in the mix 07/12/13

Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations founders and half of the dance supergroup Hot Natured, stopped by Australia's Triple J Radio a couple of weeks ago. These guys have had a great year, and it's safe to say at this point that anything Hot Natured is gold. It seems like Hot Natured has plenty in store for the upcoming year. This mix features the first plays of two remixes, one by Eats Everything and the other by  Edu Imbernon. No word of a release date for anything, so we'll just have to keep our eyes and ears open.
