Whether you're excited for the upcoming year or remembering the times past, there's a celebration that's happening. Good tunes all around! Swiss duo Mannequine hooked up German blog Wohlwill with a killer installment for their "Say Hello To..." series. Hopefully you're craving some nu-disco. There's an interview too, but I don't know German and the translator really didn't really help. Check out the interview here. Happy new year!

Hooray for Mixmag naming Hot Natured as their act of the year! I haven't posted my list yet, but Different Sides of the Sun is definitely my top album of 2013. Disclosure was a close contestant for the top spot, but what did it was "Isis." Nothing can top that song. Thank goodness Mixmag uploads their cover cds, because the ones at Barnes & Noble are always missing. January's mix from Hot Natured is simply one huge, partying magic carpet ride you'll certainly enjoy. These guys are great. Make sure to download this one for your New Year's Eve festivities!

A god of the dancefloor and one of my all-time favorite dj/producers, Berlin's Tensnake can never be a let down. He simply destroys the London Boiler Room in this recent appearance. Now, there wasn't technically a tracklist for this, but of course people figure these things out. I didn't check all the tracks, but the one's I wanted to ID were correct. So keep reading to check out all that goodness. Enjoy!

Thanks for tuning in tonight! This snow and cold weather just makes me want to snuggle up with some hot chocolate, but hopefully the show got you dancing with your hot chocolate. (Not that I recommend dancing with a hot beverage in hand.) Anyway, here's what went down. Stay warm!
Monday, December 02, 2013
Always and forever will I bring you Isaac Tichauer. I'm glad the month is getting started with killer vibes. December is just one last big party to end the year. The tracklist is coming soon for this. I was hoping it would be today, but no. Enjoy!

French duo REFLEX, simply nailed this mix! It's got a slew of my favorite tracks at the moment, mainly Edwin Van Cleef's new one. The two are about to embark on a little tour in Asia. To celebrate and kick things off, they put together this wonderful mix. Thanks guys!
Sunday, November 24, 2013
Really great show tonight! Things started off with the newest track from Perseus. I shared it on the show's Facebook page, but of course I forgot to post it here. Follow me on Facebook if you're not already! I promise you won't be disappointed! Enjoy the playlist! Yay, exclamation points!
Monday, November 18, 2013
I'm super excited to see Edwin Van Cleef return! It has been way too long. The Leeds-based producer comes back with a new mix for the cooler months, and also delivers his new single "Two Of Us." I threw that into the mix for last night's show. Make sure to grab the free download!
This mix has killer energy. It's 50 minutes of pure, unadulterated grooving. Welcome back Edwin! Don't leave!
Sunday, November 17, 2013
Thanks for tuning in this week! It was definitely one of those times where I accumulated way too much new stuff for the show. I'm most excited about new Edwin Van Cleef! Other than a Pheonix remix, it's been about a year since we've heard anything new from him. What's even better is that it's a free download. So grab that, and here's what went down tonight. Enjoy!

Coming off an awesome past week, I'm happy to start this off with more French Express. Their North American Tour just ended, and I'm sure all the nights were as delicious as the night at Output in Brooklyn. In case you missed the festivities, the French Express Boiler Room takeover is finally available for everyone's eyes and ears. I almost forgot to check back for it. So not only do you get one mix this week, but you get four! There's one each from Perseus, Moon Boots, Isaac Tichauer, and Jonas Rathsman. All the videos can be watched on the Boiler Room website, but I've posted the audio here. Really that's all you need. The video honestly bothers me. Most of the people in the Boiler Room must be deaf, because they're barely breaking into a shuffle. It's pathetic. I hope the disco gods come after you.

This week, at least until Wednesday gets here, I'm all about French Express. They've been touring, and finally the Brooklyn night is here. I was hoping their Boiler Room LA video would be up by now, but it's not. So to start this week off, I've turned to Moon Boots and his latest mix. It aired a little over a month ago for the UK's Kiss FM. Naturally, it's soulful and delicious--true French Express style.
Sunday, November 03, 2013
I hope you enjoyed the show this week! Sadly, next week, I won't be doing a show. I'll get someone to take care of you. And if you're in the New York area, my favorite French Express knight, Isaac Tichauer, will be playing in Brooklyn alongside Perseus, Moon Boots, and Jonas Rathsman. It's sure to be a great night!

This week I wanted to get a little spooky since Halloween is approaching. I couldn't find anything that had a nice balance between energy and maybe some horror film clips, so I ditched that. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is always good for dark, sometimes spooky, sci fi vibes. Let's go with that. TEED's latest mix comes in promotion for a special jungle set he's doing in London with Fabriclive. I wish I could be there.

Thanks for tuning in to the show. Hopefully this makes up for my absence last week. There are a lot of great freebies in tonight's show. I'll post the tracks, but one awesome thing to check out is Panama's Always EP. For a short time, you can download it from Panama's bandcamp as a "name your price" option. Enjoy!

The Magician usually isn't one to tell his secrets, but he spills all the details in this exclusive interview with EARMILK. He also whipped up this little mix for EARMILK, which doesn't keep any secrets with the tracklist. (This also reminds me that I should share what I have been writing for EARMILK--hmm.) This was a really great interview that touches on everything from Magic Tapes, to the orgins of "The Magician," down to talk of a full album. All good things!
Check out the mix below, and read the EARMILK interview with The Magician.

Swedish dj/producer Chris Jylkke can always be counted on for killer vibes! His remix of Cassie's "Me & U" has been on my repeat list for the past few weeks. Make sure to grab that one up for free download on SoundCloud. This mix packs in lots of R&B vocals, deep grooves, and tropical bliss. With the CMJ Music Marathon bringing a ton of great shows to New York, I'm feeling the party. Hopefully this sends some party your way for the week.
Sunday, October 13, 2013
Thanks to everyone who called in with all the positive feedback. It's always great to know you guys are loving it live! Here's the playlist for you to indulge upon. Unfortunately, there won't be a show next week. I'll be enjoying a few shows for the CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Check it out, there are a lot of great artists in town!
Monday, October 07, 2013
Here's another fine mix from my favorite French Express knight, Isaac Tichauer. His distinct style of soulful deep house is simply irresistible, and this time we get 90 minutes. What makes this even better are the US tour dates that come as a bonus. Finally, I'll be able to see him dj with the French Express night. The lineup is rounded out by Perseus, Moon Boots, and Jonas Rathsman, so it's sure to be a great show! The tracklist will eventually be posted, but no word of when.
Sunday, October 06, 2013
Thanks for tuning in to the show. A lot of Hot Natured in the mix tonight. I finally decided to breakdown and buy the album, so it's been on repeat all week. There's not a bad track on it, so check that out! Also a lot of French Express in the mix. I just heard about the upcoming French Express tour, so I'm excited to finally get to see Isaac Tichauer along with Perseus, Moon Boots, and Jonas Rathsman. Find them in a city near you! Dates are posted on the French Express website.

Let's start the week off with huge energy. British label, Moda Black, is known for their killer vibes. They've hosted some of my favorites like Eats Everything, Maxxi Soundsystem, Walker & Royce, and the list could go on. In celebration of a secret warehouse party that they're doing, Shadow Child put together this wonderful mix. It's filled with all things delicious. There's no way I'm making the party, so I didn't really look into it beyond the fact that it's in the UK. Here's the website if you're interested.
Sunday, September 29, 2013
Thanks for listening to the show this week, hopefully you were dancing as much as I was in the studio. I threw Claptone's remix of The Magician in the mix. Make sure to grab that one from Soundcloud, it's free!

After taking a break for the summer, The Magician returns with a new Magic Tape for our ears. He also has a new track and video to kick off the fall season. Check out everything below!

Thanks for tuning in this week! I've had this new DFA release on repeat all week--Shit Robot and Reggie Watts backed with The Juan Maclean and Nancy Whang. Such fantastic things! Grab that one from the DFA store, and check out the video for Shit Robot's track below.
Monday, September 16, 2013
Together as Du Tonc, Mighty Mouse and Matt Van Schie (of Van She) create a huge groovy wave of energy to get you dancing. This mix is packed with funky nu-disco tracks from JBAG, Yuksek, Shit Robot, and Juan Maclean. They've done a great job for their first mixtape! Hopefully a tracklist follows to unveil some of the mystery. Expect a new track from Du Tonc called "Island," available October 8.
Sunday, September 15, 2013
Hope you enjoyed tonight's vibes. I kept meaning to mention our station's general interest meeting during my mic breaks, but I failed. If you're in the New Brunswick area and are interested in becoming a dj for the station, check out The Core's meeting to get involved. It's September 18th in the Lucy Stone Hall Auditorium. Thanks again for tuning in! (The Core's website)

What could be better than starting off the week with an entire mix of JBAG tracks? The Kitsuné master in the hat put together this wonderful mix featuring JBAG remixes sandwiched between two original tracks. I've been on a Kitsuné kick for the past couple of weeks, so hopefully you don't mind. Everything associated with the label just promotes fun and good vibes. It's great! Enjoy!

Phunktastike is said to be one of the pioneers of nu-disco in Argentina. Not only is he a dj and producer, but also a radio host and the founder of Spirit Soul Music. His latest release came across my dashboard earlier and left me wanting more Phunk. Phunktastike is known for his killer deep house and nu disco vibes. It adds a great touch to "Calle Espiritu Santo" by Rob Garza & Neighbour.
Rob Garza & Neighbour - Calle Espiritu Santo (Phunktastike Remix) Lofi by The Phunk!
Since I don't kick off the week with a track, enjoy his most recent mix partnered with the label Dirty Kitchen. More deep disco for your soul!

Head over to Kitsuné and grab the new Chela EP! My first encounter with Chela was in last year's Goldroom track "Fifteen," which you can still download on SoundCloud. Her voice is so fresh and inviting. With the biological clock ticking on the summer of 2013, "Romanticise" is the perfect way to end things. Both the video and track are super playful, upbeat, and colorful. I can guarantee this will be on repeat. Check out the remixes from Gold Fields, Collarbones, Boys Get Hurt, Le Bruce, and Fascinator.

Even though I'm not going back to school, this week marks the end of summer in my mind. August is at its final days, and it's so hard not to look toward cool weather with the calendar promoting September. Let's make time for one last beach celebration. Zimmer, the master de la plage and all things horizontal disco, wraps up the summer months with the perfect tracks for the occasion. A good number of these tracks are up on SoundCloud for free download, so make sure to grab your little party favors after listening!

Summer's wrapping up, and I'm deeply disappointed in the amount of time (or rather, the complete lack of time) I've spent at the beach. All these great summer tracks floating around out there, and I haven't put them to use. It's sad. This week's mix really has me craving warm sand and crashing waves.
Los Angeles-based blog, La Nuit, hosts good vibes and some intensely hot disco house courtesy of Amsterdam's NSFW. The mix features tracks from some of my summer favorites including Oliver, Majestique, Peter & The Magician, Le Crayon, and well, have a listen.

This really needs no explanation. Oliver's sexy night anthem "Night Is On My Mind" gets a video to match, complete with a hip old man, light up shoes, and (because how often does one really get to use the word) lasertits. Bring on the night.

You know that one album that's impossible to find domestically, but you constantly put off buying because you think you'll serendipitously find it and avoid paying international shipping? Yeah -- that's Mitzi for me. These guys are great! Their debut, Truly Alive, is killer and came out back in February on the Australian label Future Classic. I've been trying to get my hands on a physical LP ever since. Also back in February, the band teamed up with Triple J as their first Mix Up exclusive residents of 2013. For four weeks the band delivered hour-long mixes each week of indie, house, nu-disco, and naturally some of their own tracks and edits. This was the first of the series, which Mitzi recently posted up on SoundCloud. Hopefully the rest are soon to follow!

A lot of good things have been happening in Ibiza that I'm not taking part in due to geographical and financial complications. If only Pangea hadn't separated millions of years ago. International travelling might be affordable.
One thing I'm sad I missed was Chris Malinchak's performance at Ushuaia last Friday. To end the set, Malinchak takes to the piano, accenting "So Good To Me" for a special live performance. I'm guilty of describing a lot of things as "absolutely stunning," but this finale takes the cake. This one almost had me in tears. (Beautiful things get to me.) Perhaps we'll get to see Chris Malinchak performing with a full, live backing orchestra some day soon.
Make sure to enjoy this while it lasts. It looks like BBC Radio's only hosting the video for a few more days.

Let's start the week off with something energetic to get you dancing. The weather here continues to remind me of that ambiguous fall/spring feeling. It's been in the mid 70's, low humidity, the ideal breeze, and as I write this, not a cloud in the sky. Only a few whisps. Keep reading for visual proof.
Ukrainian dj/producer Yaaman hosts his biweekly Mixmagic show for Jolt Radio. I'm probably pronouncing it wrong in my head, but I can't help but get good vibes off the name alone. The mix starts off with a killer, soon-to-be released remix from Sohight & Cheevy. Then, it never really stops from there. It's just track after track of huge energy and quality disco house.
Sunday, August 04, 2013
We had some lovely weather in New Jersey today, so tonight's show featured some lovely summer vibes. Hopefully you were able to catch it. If you were listening, I promised I would share Pat Lok's edit of AlunaGeorge. All you have to do is 'Like' Pat Lok's facebook page to unlock the download. Enjoy!

After last night's Mad Men and thunderstorm inspired radio show, I still had a craving for moody, deep, and mysterious vibes. Thank goodness for a radio show called Deep & Deeper. And, thank goodness it lives up to the name. It seemed too good to be true, but Marcelo Méndez lays down track after track of well, deep and deeper house. It's perfect! This mix falls further on the trance and club spectrum than a lot of the other mixes I've posted here, so hopefully you weren't craving beachy disco this week.

Sunday, July 28, 2013
Thanks for tuning in this week! I just started watching Mad Men, and needless to say, I'm addicted. So I pulled a whole bunch of songs this week inspired by the serious and moody vibes of Mad Men (and the rainy weather helped). Hopefully you enjoyed the show!

Get ready for 2 hours of some delicious, raw techno and deep house to jump start your week. Danny Daze has this ability to just kick you in the ass with bass, then run you all around with beats. The energy is fantastic! "Your Everything" featuring Louisahhh will always be a favorite. Hopefully you're all stretched and ready. This BBC Essential mix takes us on an intense journey through Danny Daze, and some divine tracks.

Here's a killer mix to start off the week. It comes courtesy of Lithuanian producer Mario Basanov, recorded for Italy's Rai Radio2 In The Mix show. Basanov starts with a bit of funky disco, but wastes no time getting to some serious house. The rest of the mix floats around an overall lush, tribal and jazzy vibe. At times it's more uplifting, and others get rather dark. It's actually quite stunning. Usually I reserve "stunning" for art, but this truly is a masterpiece. Sorry Rembrandt (Monday was his birthday), Basanov's got full attention right now.
