The Kickoff: Satin Jackets Mix for Dancing Astronaut

German duo Satin Jackets is notorious for taking us deep into a world of shimmery, spacey disco house. Opting for tracks with some lower BPMs, this mix for Dancing Astronauts serves as the perfect soundtrack to this late Monday night, early Tuesday morning. It's chill, but still has just enough dance to get you moving in the middle of the night. What a great mix! Thank goodness they've included a tracklist with this one.

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 4/27/2014

Hey kiddies! I'm back after not doing last week's show. I always say, the best shows are right after not doing a show. Hopefully you enjoyed it this week!

The Kickoff: Tobtok Exclusive Mixtape for Kitsuné Easter Party

Hopefully you had an enjoyable Easter if that's your thing. If you don't celebrate Easter, hopefully you enjoyed your Sunday, April 20th. I didn't host a show last night, but I'm sure Wild Jokers kept you fired up. Easter was really nice for me, although this Kitsuné Easter Party would have been a welcome option.

The party in London included a set by Swedish DJ/producer Tobtok. Thanks to Kitsuné for uploading this one, it's great! Tobtok blends track after track of funky, glossy nu disco for an hour long mix. Every track is amazing on this, so I'm happy there's a tracklist for this one. Enjoy!

The Kickoff: Zimmer - Teenage Tunnel | April Tape

French disco house producer/dj Zimmer makes some of the smoothest mixes around. His monthly tapes are always something to look forward to. April sees the theme of a "coming-of-age road movie." The dreamy 80's vibes makes me think we're reminiscing as the mix takes you on the ups and downs of youth. The tracklist is officially released in a couple of days, but I did catch Roosevelt's remix of Truls "Out Of Yourself" and the Monitor 66 remix of Kraak & Smaak's "How We Gonna Stop The Time." Find Zimmer on tour now!

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 4/13/14

If you live near New York, I'm sure you were enjoying the lovely weather we had today. Hopefully tonight's show had you dancing and feeling good about the end of the week. There was a lot of new stuff including new Jonas Rathsman, new Isaac Tichauer, and a track from the new WhoMadeWho album. The first half of the year has seen nothing but killer tunes! I'll try to keep 'em coming!

The Kickoff: Cyclist - Nu Disco Your Disco Exclusive Mix (April 2014)

It's probably my internet, but whatever it is has SoundCloud interferring with my Monday night listening time. So I'm going to have to revisit this when the player decides not to pause after 40 seconds of audio.

I jumped around and skimmed a bit, and of course Canadian producer/dj Cyclist is up to his usual mastery of nu disco. This latest mix comes from blog Nu Disco Your Disco. It was hard to catch tracks with things not working right, and I didn't see a tracklisting. A highlight though was the really awesome remix of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" right around the middle of the mix.

Hopefully your listening experience is better than mine. I guess I'll have to try again in the morning.

Thanks for tuning in again this week. I don't really have anything to say, but here's how the show went down. Catch next week's show on Sunday from 8-10pm, only on 90.3 the Core.
