Finally, Holy Ghost!
Finally, I know it exists. I got my hands on the Holy Ghost! album today. I first heard about these guys from an iTunes free single of the week in 2007. Ever since then, I've been waiting for this to drop. It was worth the wait. Check out this track from the album. It's my favorite.
Just when you thought disco was dead, Holy Ghost! comes grooving back.
If you're in the New York City area, they'll be playing April 29th at Music Hall of Williamsburg. The Hundred in the Hands will also perform. They're another great duo who released their debut in September 2010. They also have a nice dreamy electro pop sound with disco influences. The best song on the album is probably "Commotion." It should be an awesome show.

Playlist: "Eclecticism" 3/27/2011
Fun show this week. Joining me was my friend, Will (DJ Dress Shoes) and one of our DJs in training, Erica (DJ Cowboy Bootz). The playlist is below. Oooh yeah.
Next week, I'm airing my phone interview with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. He's a DJ/producer from the UK who recently completed his debut American tour. SxSW named him one of their top acts for 2011. Watch this video, and I swear you'll get hooked. Tune in Sunday, April 3rd, from 9-10pm on 90.3 the Core

The Beginning
Hi,
My name is Wrenn. Most people call me Lauren, but a lot of those are floating around. "Laur" wasn't a good option either, so I went with the latter half of my name and added a few letters.
I'm 21 years old and a journalism major at Rutgers University . Music and photography are my two favorite things in the world. I'm a Radio DJ for 90.3 the Core, an independent, student-run college radio station on Rutgers University 's Livingston Campus. Check out our website: www.thecore.fm.
My radio show, also called "Eclecticism," airs Sunday nights from 9-10pm . I play a variety of electronic music spanning chillout, dance, dubstep, and whatever else seems to pop in there. You can stream online, or if you're in the Piscataway area, turn your radio 90.3fm. I'll try to post all the playlists, but I never make promises.
Last.fm has been a favorite site of mine. It's probably the best representation of what I'm listening to, since I always have trouble answering that question. At the time of me writing this post, I found this "Paste my taste" feature which generates something for you to post wherever. It's cheesy, but it's pretty accurate. It reads:

My hobbies take me to interesting places and websites, so why not tell people about it. Now, here I am writing a blog. I hope that you follow along.
