If you haven't heard of Canada's Pat Lok, I'm sorry. You're missing out. When I saw that Pat Lok put out a new mix, I was expecting the beachy disco house that I got with "Remember," but this mix goes in deep. I've really been on this sort of late summer night deep house. That's what I'm calling it. This is the perfect mix to end all the beach and barbecue madness of Memorial Day weekend. I hope you had a blast, I did. Enjoy!

Mix Monday: Chris Malinchak - May Set

Despite the humidity and rainy weather we had, it was a pretty good day. I got to enjoy a lovely fruit salad and some intense Scrabble playing. The quantity of fruit that went into this thing was a little absurd, but it was so delicious.

I saw this mix by Chris Malinchak on some feed earlier today before going fruit shopping, but hadn't gotten a chance to listen to it until now. As if having one Perseus track to start off wasn't satisfying enough, there's a second. Score! There's also some the tracks from Malinchak's latest EP which I've been meaning to get. I'm a sucker for all things French Express. It's right up there with the yummy fruit I had after dinner.

It's time to get down! This is exactly what was missing from my life today. Mirror People killed this May mix. It's the perfect pre-summer soundtrack. I'm excited to see what the summer brings for music. I have a feeling it's going to have a nice little groove to it. Sometimes I feel like my music moods change so frequently. I've been wondering how long I'll be on this disco house kick. Then, I find mixes like this that remind of how awesome it is, and I get sucked back in. It's great! Thank you, Mirror People.

I've been in the mood for a little deep house lately. After digging through Chris Jylkke's April Discolicious mixtape, I found some yummy tunes. One of which is a new track by German dj/producer Doctor Dru. I love this track! The eerie vocals top it all off so nicely.
