This week I wanted to get a little spooky since Halloween is approaching. I couldn't find anything that had a nice balance between energy and maybe some horror film clips, so I ditched that. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is always good for dark, sometimes spooky, sci fi vibes. Let's go with that. TEED's latest mix comes in promotion for a special jungle set he's doing in London with Fabriclive. I wish I could be there.

This was a really great interview that touches on everything from Magic Tapes, to the orgins of "The Magician," down to talk of a full album. All good things!

The Kickoff: Chris Jylkke - One Love Massive Guest Mix

Swedish dj/producer Chris Jylkke can always be counted on for killer vibes! His remix of Cassie's "Me & U" has been on my repeat list for the past few weeks. Make sure to grab that one up for free download on SoundCloud. This mix packs in lots of R&B vocals, deep grooves, and tropical bliss. With the CMJ Music Marathon bringing a ton of great shows to New York, I'm feeling the party. Hopefully this sends some party your way for the week.

The Kickoff: Isaac Tichauer - October 2013 Mix

Here's another fine mix from my favorite French Express knight, Isaac Tichauer. His distinct style of soulful deep house is simply irresistible, and this time we get 90 minutes. What makes this even better are the US tour dates that come as a bonus. Finally, I'll be able to see him dj with the French Express night. The lineup is rounded out by Perseus, Moon Boots, and Jonas Rathsman, so it's sure to be a great show! The tracklist will eventually be posted, but no word of when.

The Kickoff: Shadow Child - Warehouse Warm Up Mix

Let's start the week off with huge energy. British label, Moda Black, is known for their killer vibes. They've hosted some of my favorites like Eats Everything, Maxxi Soundsystem, Walker & Royce, and the list could go on. In celebration of a secret warehouse party that they're doing, Shadow Child put together this wonderful mix. It's filled with all things delicious. There's no way I'm making the party, so I didn't really look into it beyond the fact that it's in the UK. Here's the website if you're interested.
