The ROSEtapes series launched about a year ago with a mix from Rose Records' own, Martin Hayes. Until now, I hadn't heard of these ROSEtapes. I'll have to listen to the others as the week progresses.
For the sixth installment of the series, the German label called upon American label Kolour LTD. Mike W. did a great job with this. It's nearly a hour of really cool tracks. What drew me to this mix was the promise of hearing Detroit Swindle. Love those guys!
There's an awesome interview that another label Sleazy Beats did with Mike W. which goes into the history of Kolour LTD. If you're interested in finding out a bit more about the label, it's worth checking out (Kolour Recordings/Undertones Q&A). While you're reading, listen to the mix.
