Mix Monday: The Vitalic Noise 'Family Ties' Mixtape

October crept up fast. September wasn't really an active music month for me. I apologize for slacking on my Monday mix to kickoff the past couple of weeks. Hey, sometimes you just aren't feeling it.

This Monday, I'm back on, and it apparently coincides with the re-lauch of Vitalic Noise. To showcase some of their artists, they released this flawless mix. It's available to download for free, but most of the tracks remain a mystery. However, one of the identified tracks led to me acquiring an album, so it's not a complete letdown. It's still a great mix to kickoff the week.

This past week I've been all over Cascine and their Standouts 2010-2012 compilation. The show definitely reflects that. Check out the label's joint showcase during CMJ with one of my favorite labels, Ghostly International: Ghostly/Cascine Showcase

And, here's the playlist from tonight's show. Enjoy!

Sex, drugs, and house music. Tonight's underlying theme for the show. It wasn't planned, it just happened that way.
Thanks Tiara for joining me on air tonight! Hopefully everyone enjoyed listening. Come back next week!

Thanks for listening to the show! Here's the playlist. Apparently I've been feeling French Express this week. I didn't realize it until posting the playlist, but tonight's show had quite a bit of French Express. There were even more tracks that I pulled and didn't get to this week. Maybe it's because they've been posting a bunch of free downloads recently. Check that out, and come back next week. Enjoy!

La Fille De L'Air #1: Zéphyr

Monday had me a little uninspired, so I didn't post a mix. Apologies. These things happen. That's not to say I didn't find mixes, just not anything that complemented my musical mood for the day. Now, on to Tuesday.

To make up for the loss, I'm sharing this compilation from La Fille De L'Air Records, which happens to be a freebie. I sat on this for a while, but now's the time. Lately, I've been craving some music to fill, what I refer to as, my "futuristic house" fix. This compilation does the trick, and it has been getting some heavy rotation in my life.

There's a lengthy block of text (in both French and English) on the La Fille De L'Air SoundCloud that describes their vision, but here's what I took away from it: french, feminine, sophisticated, deep house, filtered house, disco house, and did I mention house? Needless to say, it's really good.

Check out the teaser video below, and if you're feeling that, keep reading for more tunes. The download links follow as well.

Apparently Labor Day for me means not doing anything for the entire week. Tonight's show marks getting back in the groove. (Both the dancing groove, and the working groove.) Hopefully you caught the show this week! Come back next week for more!

Mix Monday: Zimmer - Paris Plage | Summer Tape

Zimmer, in my opinion, is the master of summer vibes. I've probably said that before, but I'm saying it again. This guy is genius. August is the unofficial end to summer in my book, and I've been in the mood for some deeper summer tracks. Think end of the night jams, but more epic because they're end of summer jams. Zimmer's Paris Plage mix hits all the right spots. These tracks are perfect! Have a listen, download, and enjoy the rest of summer.
